Lake Dunstan Motel is proud to be part of the upcoming Fairway Landing development, a significant investment that will further enhance the visitor experience here at Lake Dunstan Motel, and in Cromwell.
The development will include a brand-new 18-unit motel complex alongside 41 Modern Apartments, creating a vibrant accommodation precinct overlooking the Cromwell Golf Course and within easy reach of the brand new Cromwell Memorial Events Centre, Lake Dunstan trail, the Central Otago Rail Trail, Kawarau Gorge trails, Highlands Motorsport Park, as well as a plethora of wineries, and awesome local attractions.
Designed to complement the existing motel operation, Fairway Landing will offer a range of high-quality accommodation options for holidaymakers, golfers, corporate travellers, and event visitors, with a mix of 1 bedroom, 2 bed and 3 bed options, great for families, groups, co-workers, clubs and otherwise.
The development will create a unique destination where guests can enjoy the convenience of motel-style services alongside the comfort and flexibility of apartment living. As the project progresses, Lake Dunstan Motel will continue operating as normal while preparing to welcome guests to this exciting new accommodation destination in the heart of Central Otago.

What's the Plan?
Fairway Landing is situated on a large picturesque site looking out over the Cromwell 18 hole golf course, and beyond to the backdrop of Central Otago high country. These apartments are designed to make the most of northerly views, while maximising privacy, and providing light and sunny spaces to relax.
The apartments at Fairway Landing make great use of space and are designed to accommodate both owner-occupiers and holiday-makers, with a full sized kitchen, open plan living, two storey, allocated car park, and lockable storage if needed.
The townhouses are in a visitor accommodation zone, meaning it can be used for visitor accommodation year-round. As an owner you can stay whenever you like, for up to 90 days per stay. There are no limits or restrictions around bookable dates, however you will need to make considerations around peak periods if your focus is to benefit from higher room rates (for investors), or on the contrary, to have a place to stay in high demand times where you like to be amidst the action and have in the past found it difficult to find accommodation.

When does Stage 1 Begin?
Stage 1 gets a green light as soon as the pre-sales target is achieved.
Is this happening on the land next door?
We often get asked this, but no, there are separate developments happening either side of us. Fairway Landing is here at 5 Mead Ave. We currently have a considerable piece of land that is unused within our boundary, that sits alongside the current motel rooms. This is where you can expect to see the Stage 1 build!
Will we be selling?
We aren't selling the business, we will be here to continue running Lake Dunstan Motel with it's 18 new motel units, alongside any Fairway Landing owners that opt in to adding their apartment into the visitor accommodation pool, managed also by the experienced team at Lake Dunstan Motel.
